Teremin - neobičan muzički instrument

Teremin je elektronski muzički instrument koji je ime dobio po svom izumitelju, sovjetskom inženjeru Lavu Sergejeviču Termenu (1896-1993), odnosno Leonidu Tereminu, kako su ga zvali u zapadnoj Evropi.

Teremin je izmišljen 1919. godine, kao jedan od prvih elektronskih muzičkih instrumenata, a ono što ga i danas čini čudom jeste činjenica da se jedino na njemu svira bez ikakvog fizičkog dodira.

Čitav instrument, koga još zovu i termenvoks, sastoji se od kutije sa dve metalne radio-antene oko kojih muzičar na određen način pomera ruke i tako, u stvari, svira na tereminu. Udaljenost ruku izvođača od antena određuje frekvenciju i amplitudu, odnosno jačinu zvuka. Tako mali pokreti ruku daju drhtav zvuk koji se među muzičarima naziva tremolo ili vibrato. Uobičajeno je da se desnom rukom upravlja frekvencijom, a levom jačinom zvuka.

Zasnovan na principu oscilatora, teremin proizvodi zvuk kombinujući dva različita radio-signala vrlo viskokih frekvencija. Dobro uvežbana kombinacija pokreta svirača na tereminu može dovesti do iznenađujuće složenih i izražajnih varijacija u izvođenju muzičkog dela.

Nije stoga čudo što je zvuk teremina često korišćen za razne efekte u igranim i crtanim filmovima. Ovaj instrument je, naročito šezdesetih godina prošlog veka, našao primenu i u mnogim kompozicijama popularne muzike, a dosta se koristi i danas.

Tako je vođa poznate američke pop grupe,, Bič Bojs” (Beach Boys), Brajan Vilson (Brian Wilson), 1966. godine zvukom teremina veoma upečatljivo završio najveći hit svog sastava „Good Vibrations”. Solo izveden na tereminu bio je i deo čuvene kompozicije grupe „Led cepelin” (Led Zeppelin) iz 1969. godine, „Whole Lotta Love”, a odsvirao ga je izvanredan gitarista i tereminista Džimi Pejdž (Jimmy Page). Teremin na svojim koncertima vrlo često koristi i poznati francuski kompozitor i muzičar Žan-Mišel Žar (Jean Michel Jarre).

Po nekim mišljenjima, Termenov pronalazak je zasnovan na dostignućima Nikole Tesle (mada sam Leonid Teremin to poriče). U prilog tome ide i činjenica da je Dorit Krajsler, američka umetnica i poznati tereminista, uvodnu pesmu na svom albumu, ,Best of Dorit Chrysler” nazvala po slavnom Tesli.
